I was skeptical to dine here because of the low google rating this place has but to my surprise... I had no complaints here! Really nice restaurant located on the roof top of the aloft/element hotel. Unique cocktails with some great seasonal selections. Nice dinner menu with several options. Really fantastic and attentive service. Great presentation of the entree. All & all great experience.

I had my birthday brunch here a few weeks ago. There were 7 of us (my first time), and we were met with the sweetest hostess. We had drinks at the bar until everyone arrived. Y’all this place is very impressive. I was happy with the dining experience myself and friends received. Stephanie (give her a raise she is top tier), our server truly went above and beyond making our experience not just good but outstanding! Every drink was divine and the food was worth every dime. I highly recommend the ahi tuna nachos or the shrimp and grits from the brunch menu. The food, service, and atmosphere are all 10/10 I look forward to trying the dinner menu now!

I recently dined at Sal Y Mar and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy charm. The lighting and decor set the stage for a relaxing and enjoyable brunch.

The food was nothing short of phenomenal. The menu offers a wide range of options, and everything we tried exceeded expectations.

As for the service, it was impeccable. Our server, Alex, truly went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top-notch. Alex was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the afternoon. Alex added a personal touch that made the day even more special.

Overall, Sal Y Mar is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy an exceptional meal with outstanding service in a beautiful setting. I’ll definitely be returning!

NO VAYAN. Mi esposo y yo vivimos en Orlando y fuimos a Tampa para pasar el fin de semana e ir al casino. Nos hospedamos en el Aloft de Midtown (4 estrellas) y llegamos plan 4 pm así que teníamos mucha hambre. Pensamos en que sería buena idea probar el restaurante del rooftop. Pésima idea. Voy a darle los puntos buenos (atención y ambiente) y los malos (LA COMIDA Y otras cosas ?). Nos recibieron muy bien el joven que nos atendió era muy amable y carismático (beautiful skin btw) nos bromeó diciéndonos: oh es solo con reserva porque estamos full house hiy. Y luego se rio y dijo que era una broma ? nos llevo a nuestros sitios, y si el restaurante es muy bonito perfecto para tomar tragos y conversar y sacar fotos. El problema empezó con la comida, pedimos unas ostras a la parmesana, estaban ricas pero el precio me pareció exorbitante para 4 o 5 conchas con un poco de queso que iban encima de una cama de sal color azul que tenia un par de moscas? Luego llego el plato fuerte (quisiera retroceder el tiempo y no pedirlo) yo pedi un Tuna Tataki y el mesero super amable me recomendó no pedirlo? porque venía muy poquito, me recomendó otro plato y no se si fue por dejarme llevar pero no lei bien y no sabia que pedi uno de los platos mas feos (para mi por supuesto porque es un plato que le gusta a casi todos los que conozco) MOFONGO el mofongo no me gusta porque no me gusta el platano, pero acepto que con la sazon correcta el plato es pasable. Este mofongo era ASQUEROSO, el platano se sentia como guineo?dulce y la carne que traia estaba mal cocinada, era como si estuviera botando mucha sangre y lo hubieran puesto en una plancha no tan caliente y se hirvió en la sangre, el sabor era asqueroso y solo venían unas tiras de carne (a lo mucho 6) el resto era puro pimenton. Estuve todo el dia y la noche y al día siguiente con gases y nauseas. Un asco porfavor si lees esto e insistes en ir, no pidas el mofongo. El plato de mi esposo era un risotto (que en la carta dice Paella pero felizmente el joven que nos atendio era muy honesto), meh por ese precio el sabor era basico se snetia mas sabor a comino que a otra cosa. Los tragos eran básicos, y de nuevo el precio era demasiado para ese sabor. En fin, solo doy 3 estrellas por considerar el ambiente muy bonito y la atención. NO VAYAN!
Oh otra cosa que si nos gusto fue que nos tomaron una foto y nos la ofrecieron con un marco lindo.

Ok, no sé cómo responder al comentario que el encargado dejo en mi review anterior. Solo dire que su respuesta es la mejor prueba de que este lugar no es un buen lugar. Me preguntas el porque dejamos una buena propina al joven que PROBABLEMENTE SEA UNA DE LAS POCAS COSAS BUENAS QUE ESTE LUGAR TE PUEDE OFRECER? Pues porque justamente su servicio fue bueno, creo que su nombre era Alex, y fue muy amable y atento. Segundo, especifico que no fue culpa del mesero que me sugiera el plato que termine pidiendo, pero eso no quita que el plato fuera ASQUEROSO, asi como tienes el nerve de preguntar esas cosas preguntale como deje el plato, basicamente lleno porque era horrible. Pretendes dejar bien a tu local intentanto manipularme, como si fuera mi culpa pedir un mal plato o dejar una buena propina? Bueno, a quien lea, sigan leyendo que la gran mayoria de comentarios son malos, peor es la respuesta del gerente de tienda y encontraran uno que otro comentario positivo. Si pensé que la experiencia era mala pero se termino al dejarle al joven una buena propina e irnos, estaba equivocada. La respuesta del restaurante fue la cereza del pastel. NO VUELVO Y NO VAYAN, hay mejores opciones (y no nos quejamos porque estábamos en un viaje de fin de semana y no queríamos perder el tiempo, hicimos bien porque ya me imagino que clase de respuesta nos hubieran dado)

We went to this restaurant for a birthday with ten people! First of all, our waitress didn’t have the slightest smile. After bringing the food, while some of us were still eating, they brought us the check!!! Even though we hadn’t asked for it, and we had a cake in their fridge that they were supposed to bring out for us!
when we asked why they did this, they responded with an entitled expression, saying, “just because!

Then, they brought the cake to the table without any candles and served it to the guests with huge spoons, telling us they didn’t have any forks. I will never go to this restaurant again.

Moreover, the food was completely average, and they added a 20% tip to the check, which we had to pay. I think that’s why the waitress didn’t care about us or the service, because they knew they would get their money anyway.

If you’re looking for a place with a view, different atmosphere, great service and food, this is your place! They have outdoor seating area by the bar or by the pool. This rooftop restaurant has a beautiful view to downtown Tampa. We were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday and got a large table inside. It’s beautiful inside and out. Each of us order different appetizers and food. Everything was delicious! The server was very nice and calm even though we were more than 10 people. I love their red sangria! Parking was $15 at the hotel ballet and I recommend using it because the parking garage is somehow difficult to find parking. The restaurant is on the top floor of the hotel and I recommend using the elevator. I will definitely be back!

It's a view. That comes with a premium, but there is no justifying this silliness. $28 for this charcuterie of entertainment crackers, trail mix and bar olives. Get it together you silly gooses.
Hard pass on returning. We got dinner that was silly too. I only took a pic of this because it was extra silly. All of my cocktails were good! ?‍♀️

My wife and I recently dined here during our trip to Tampa. We had such a great experience from the awesome bartenders, Natalia and Jay to the delicious dinner. We will definitely be back because they were so accomidating and had such attentive service.
