I had high hopes for this pizza after reading so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. My biggest disappointment was the use of canned mushrooms—arguably one of the worst choices you can make for a pizza. Fresh, quality ingredients are essential for good pizza, and this detail made a noticeable difference.

The sausage also missed the mark, with an overpowering fennel flavor that overwhelmed the rest of the toppings. To make matters worse, the crust was a bit too thick, resulting in a dry and unappealing texture. On a slightly brighter note, the pepperoni pizza fared better than the sausage and mushroom option, but overall, I was left underwhelmed.

Another downside was the price. A large two-topping pizza and a medium one-topping pizza totaled $63 with delivery—and that didn’t even include the tip. While I understand that inflation has impacted prices everywhere, for pizza of this quality, I would have expected to pay at least $20 less.

I wouldn’t completely write off this place, as some menu items might fare better (like the pepperoni), but I’d recommend avoiding any pizzas with vegetable toppings. For now, it feels like you’re paying premium prices for a product that doesn’t quite live up to the hype.

The pizza is great! The service is great! And the kids are awesome! But,,,, you get alot of food for the price and that's hard to fine! Yep but,s are good some times!

Loyal customers love this pizza consistently made with love. Family loves the garbage pizza. I switch black olives for green olives and added bacon. This pizza is so good highly suggest. The crust is always perfect. The ingredients are fresh and evenly distributed. Cream cheese jalapeño poppers were good.
Inferno wings are so good beware, very hot.
2024 updates further amazing food we have tried:
Shrimp ? ? love these and cocktail sauce so good.
Best ? ? jelepeno poppers cheddar cheese had delivered and still hot and crispy.
BOS- crispy bacon can never go wrong. Great crust and sausage, homemade taste always fresh always good.
Mediterranean pizza - crust crispy buttery garlic taste topping good only feedback would rather thin sliced tomato slices.
Everything we try is good ...next time, we need to try Sals brbq ribs.

Absolutely the best pizza ever! We used to go the Rosati's(and their pizza is good) but this is a whole new level. Everyone is always friendly and the whole place says thank you when you give them a tip. Cool little hole in the wall location. We are moving in a couple of years and I know we will never find anything as good.

I’m still giving 5 stars because it’s the most consistent and best pizza place around. Last week ordered on a Saturday and I have no problem waiting. Pizza was light and felt like it was half the cheese. I’ll try again hoping it was an off day or something. We don’t mind paying but please don’t cut back on toppings or cheese

Great customers at its best. Ordered a pizza and chicken tenders . Had some guests from Chicago I always talked highly of Sals. They also agreed this is one of the best pizza in the Chicagoland area. There employees make sure everything is perfect like you ordered . If you crave Chicago thin crust pizza go to Sals in Algonquin . I promise they won't disappoint you.

Our favorite pizza place in the area. They don’t skimp on ingredients and the thin crust is not paper thin. Although, double dough is not much thicker than their thin crust. Always courteous service, prompt, and delivery has been good too.
