I have been here many times for Cubs/Boy scout Pancake event. First time I came after the renovation.

Lot of energy with a lively crowd. Great drink option for very reasonable price.

I've been there many times in the 1.5 years I have lived in Huntley. Fun Place that can get out of hand. Enjoyed it until the night of Sept 12, 2023 when I was assaulted (police report uses the word battery) in the ladies room by a male. Jen, the Legion bartender & manager, kicked me out without inquiring as to whether I was hurt, OK, or needed security to safely escort me to my car, after the male was also kicked out. The next day I find out by Jen, that I have been permanently banned from the Legion property over this incident. I have a police report and the only security camera video provided to the police shows that the guy walked from the bar to the ladies room about 22 seconds after I went in there. When interviewed, Jen said she saw I was basically flirtatious (she described actions) on another security camera video, but never provided that evidence to the police. I did not do the things she claims to have seen on the video. I'm sure it wasn't provided because she was mistaken The only thing I am guilty of at the Legion is using the ladies room, playing the machines, buying Queen of Heart tickets and having a couple drinks.
A few months prior to that, there was a female exposing herself in the bar for a shot while my friends and I were there. Additionally, I was told by a friend that a male exposed himself late one night in the bar area, after drinking too much.
Interestingly enough, both of these individuals are still welcomed at the Legion. I suppose it was a good thing they didn't use the bathroom, which apparently is the crime I committed!
On a positive note, I am winning more often on the gaming machines elsewhere. I hardly ever had a big payoff at the Legion, and I am mostly a daily player.

Nonya Business

Bar drunkard AKA their drunk volunteer, two bartenders which were not on duty but boozing it up and could qualify as barflies, as well as the on duty bartender were quick to pass judgement by belittling a frequent customer for voicing an opinion of a situation which occurred in the establishment. Last I checked, the entrances to the Legion did not require one to check their opinion and/or their Constitutional Rights at the door before entering. Their illusion is that all are accepted, however tonight that was not the truth. Clickish employees can make anyone feel that that they are not accepted and their money is worthless, drink the Koolade if you want as YMMV here.

First time I have been there since the Reno and the place is amazing. They did a really great job making it a place to visit. I really enjoyed the outdoors as rea. They had a bunch of seating and tables. They had a few bag sets for people to play which I love. Great experience can't wait to go again.

Very nice and clean place in Downtown Huntley. Staff is very friendly. Nice big outdoor seating area with plenty of tables. They did a great job with the remodeling of the entire place

New outdoor area is great. Cash bar only. Bartenders are all very friendly. VFW will be a regular spot for us now

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch and a cold beer they treated us like family and this is probably the nicest laid out American Legion in the state .
They have a nice big Beer Garden

We went for a boy scout Spagetti Dinner. Place was nice, clean and worked well with the scouts.
