I love all of the kitchy mugs and the drawings on the wall. It made it feel like I was visiting someone's home. The food was Great basic breakfast food and reasonably priced. Will Definitely visit again.

If I could I'd give this place all the stars in the universe. The food was absolutely fantastic. The waitress was super kind and really made sure I had everything I needed. The pricing is spot on and reflects in the portion sizes. You won't be able to ever leave this place hungry. I'm not a local but, I love finding local spots and this one will be my spot every time I come to California.

I wanted to like this place so much. We love supporting small businesses. But my experience was disappointing.

I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. I was brought fried eggs. I mentioned the error, and about ten minutes later I was brought a plate with a pile of chopped fried eggs with cheese. We were out of time so I didn't ask for another redo.

When I mentioned the second error with my eggs when asking for the bill, I got a vague "ok" in reply. The bill came without any sort of discount or explanation.

I paid and left. We will not be returning.

Stopping in on a weekday for some brunch.
Bacon good. Sandwich splendid. Fries delicious. Eggs mmmm need some help.

Staff - absolutely amazing an spot on with service.

Food an Price - Epic prices and good size plates.

Very sunny with little to no shade outside. The inside could use some sprucing up. As well as the bathrooms. But it doesn’t deter us from coming back.

Will be back!

Service was astoundingly slow, and it wasn’t busy (about half the tables were empty/available). Interior is cute, definitely an “at home” feel, my food (sandwich w/ fries) was yummy, but not worth the nearly hour-long wait (after ordering. It was also a 20-min wait just to get coffee to the table).

The servers seemed sleepy/groggy and distracted, talking to their friends/family who were eating there, instead of attending to other guests, it was so uncomfortable.

Also, acoustics inside are terrible. One of their server’s family was having breakfast, which is great/fine/cute (again, very “at home” feel), but the kids screaming, stomping, and running around and behind the counter….it was so chaotic.

Definitely won’t be coming back. Very unfortunate experience. I couldn’t bring myself to leave more than a 10% tip.

Service is slow, and locals who ordered well after I did got their food before me.
My order was slightly wrong.
The food was overall fine, but not great.
The Biscuits and Gravy are extremely disappointing. Might as well have been slices of cake drenched in thick water.
It was a bit more expensive than I was expecting.
Overall an OK place but not great.

This review is purely for American style kitchen it is. Had a pleasant experience in everything. Fair warning, – the entries are giant, so while making an order, please make sure you’ll be able to handle it.
Got myself a half a combo with hashbrowns, which turned out to be a little bit greasy, however, very tasty and is done right on the spot spice level, and baked.
Please might need a little bit of a tuneup interior wise however, again for the atmosphere, it provides – it has its own vibe.
Thank you, ladies, for quality service and delicious food.
We’ll see you next time.

Great little spot in downtown martinez! Love the small cafe feel. My mom had the Cook's Skillet and I had the Bacon/Pecan Belgian Waffle. Gotta say, it was the best Belgian waffle I've had in a long time!
